Hello Dear Readers!
Wow! What a month! I think I can safely
say that NONE of us had any idea what all would
happen between now and then. I know that I don't
need to express how shocked and sad the September
11th tragedies made me feel... we all have felt
it... we have felt it, and pulled together to
reach out to those around us, as well as those
far away.
I think it's wishful thinking to believe
that none of you have lost anyone near and
dear... too many have been touched. So to those
of you that have lost someone, please know that
my prayers are with you... even though I do not
know you by name, I am still praying for you.
May you rest in God's peace.
And to everyone... I decided not to send out
a separate thoughts and sympathies e-mail with
sources for donating... if you're like me, than
you've already received them from almost every
company you know, and more you've never heard of
and didn't know had your e-mail. But I would
still like to encourage you to do two things.
First, keep on giving. If you haven't
already, it's not too late. Even though we pray
that we never endure another September 11th,
there will still be challenges ahead for our
country to face. And even though we are
struggling to get back to this new version of
'normal', there will still be needs to be met.
Let's not allow ourselves to grow hardened or
selfish. If you're not sure where to send
your money, take a look at my ad after the
Tips & Tricks section below for a good place
to get donation information.
And second, be confident and move on with
life. The world needs it, your country needs it,
your family needs it, and YOU need it. We have
endured a tragedy, but there is still much to be
thankful for. Let's concentrate on our blessings
while remembering the past and learning from it.
So, let's decorate! Not in a frivolous
manner... but in a way that will make our homes
the haven of rest and peace that we are sure to
need in the days ahead, just as we've needed them
in the past. I hope that you all enjoy this
issue, and get some useful tips and ideas to help
make your home beautiful.
One more note... I will be completing the
upgraded version of the site in the next few
days, and uploading it this weekend. The
uploading shouldn't take longer than a few hours,
so if you try to visit this weekend, and the site
isn't loading properly, or making sense, just try
back a few hours later and things should be fine.

2. Tips & Tricks
- More Grass Stain Removal
Subscriber Cindy sent in another tip to help
get rid of grass stains. (And yes, this DOES have
to do with decorating... if you like to use sheets
for picnic seating. *smiles*)
She says, "I read the tip on removing grass
stains from clothing. As a mother of two boys, I
have this problem quite frequently. However, I
use another method which has yet to fail me. I
am not sure who passed this tip to me. To remove
grass stains, I put the clothing in the washer
in the warmest water that the fabric will allow.
Along with my regular laundry detergent, I also
add a cup of Cascade Automatic Dishwasher
Detergent. I run the washer through a regular
wash cycle. It works every time!"
